Monica Riviera

I have been inspiring smiles in the dental community for over 25 years. With an extensive background in dental management, I love being part of transforming patient’s smiles. As a new team member of Pinnacle Peak Family Dentistry, I am committed to delivering exceptional care as a patient liaison. I am honored to be part of an elite group of knowledgeable and passionate women in the dental field. I am originally from Texas but have grown to love Arizona and all of its naturalbeauty. In my spare time, I enjoy country dancing, reading and exploring Arizona

Laura Furich

I have been a registered dental assistant for over 27 years and have enjoyed every minute. My passion is to help patients in a unique way and give them individualized care. I assist the doctors in providing excellent care and am passionate about keeping a clean, organized, and healthy environment for my team and patients. My favorite part of working at Pinnacle Peak Family Dentistry is being part of a team that takes extreme pride in the quality of service we provide.

I am originally from San Diego, California and moved to Arizona in 2013. In my free time, I enjoy camping and exploring this new terrain with my husband and two adult children.

Erika Sales

I was born and raised in Southern California and have a B.A. in Economics from UCLA. But I really didn’t like my corporate life and so 24 years ago, I moved to Scottsdale to raise my daughter near my parents. I received my RDH degree from Rio Salado College and after 24 years of being a dental hygienist, I am still VERY glad I made the decision to change careers. I absolutely love taking care of my patients here at Pinnacle Peak Family Dentistry, providing exceptional care and educating them on skills and techniques for maintaining long-term health.

I am an enthusiastic dog-lover and am involved with a couple of animal rescues. Although, people are a close second in my heart, I have also been volunteering for 16 years with the Flying Samaritans to our Mexico dental/medical clinic to provide free dental cleanings to those communities in need. Otherwise, I am a homebody and love nothing more than having my friends and family over for appetizers, wine, chats and card games.

I am originally from Michigan, and finished “growing up” here in Arizona. I attended Phoenix College Dental Hygiene School and have been in practice for over 20 years. After all this time, I am still excited to say, “I love being a hygienist!”

Working at Pinnacle Peak Family Dentistry is a perfect fit because the doctors and I believe in always putting patient’s comfort and concerns first. We want to make every dental visit the very best experience possible, by answering any questions and providing quality care in a comfortable environment.

In my spare time, I enjoy Cardinals football, reading, hiking and cooking. I am happily married with two adult children and one “fur-baby” who is a slightly spoiled Corgi rescue dog.

In 2015, I graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC) in the city of Mexicali, Mexico with a degree in dentistry. A timely move to Scottsdale, Arizona provided the opportunity to obtain my license in dental assisting along with the ability to work in the United States. Currently, I have a dental assistant license (RDA), as well as certification in x-ray sand coronal polishing.

Since I was a child, I wanted to study something in the medical field. After 2 years of studying, I discovered that as a dentist, I would not only be helping to correct a patient’s oral needs, but I could also be making a difference in their confidence and self-esteem.

I love working at Pinnacle Peak Family Dentistry because I can see Dr. Sara and Dr. Tran truly care and cater to the needs of all of our patients. Any time a patient walks into this office, they are treated like family and receive the best possible service available in Scottsdale. I hope to continue my studies towards my dental doctorate degree here in the United States and one day be a dentist who is as wonderful and as skilled as our doctors here at PPFD.

In my spare time, I enjoy time with friends joking around. I also love outdoor activities, such as hiking and camping.

I have been working in the dental field as an assistant for over 28 years. I started in a family practice with a father, son, and daughter-in-law as doctors. I worked there for 17 years before moving to Arizona and finding my current home at Pinnacle Peak Family Dentistry. I love my work as a dental assistant because I can help patients feel comfortable and being a part of their changing lives with a new smile. I especially love being at PPFD because the doctors truly care about their patients and our entire team takes great pride in the quality of work we provide.

I was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois. I am an avid outdoors woman and, in my spare time, I enjoy hiking or fishing in the woods with my dog, Annie.

One thing on her bucket list: Canoe the Albani River

I have recently joined the AZ Sleep and TMJ Solution team and work with Pinnacle Peak Family Dentistry as an administrative support staff member. I have seen firsthand our patients that come to us, experiencing pain or exhausted from a lack of restful sleep, then just a few quick weeks smiling again, the pain is gone and now getting a good night’s sleep. I love to help people improve their lives.

A recent transplant from Michigan, CMU graduate but a U of M fan (Go Blue), I am happy to be away from the winter weather. When I am not at the office you will find me outside whenever possible. I like to spend that time hiking with my two Labradors, Teddy and Reagan, exploring this state with my husband or working in the yard learning about the desert plants.

One thing on her bucket list: Take a 2 month vacation to tour the USA in an RV
